A new custom fireplace, built in storage and flexible seating marry form with function in this urban Vancouver loft.
This airy loft already had a lot going for it, but lacked a functional Living Room and required an update on finishes. The existing undersized, 45° corner fireplace was too far removed from the seating area for anyone to properly enjoy it.
A custom linear fireplace extends along the Living Room wall and acts as the room’s anchor. Vein-cut travertine slab wraps the asymmetrical design and complements the existing double height concrete wall. Custom leather stools tuck away under built-in shelving when not in use. The small, loft level Master Bath was made to feel spacious and elegant with a new walk-in shower, double mirrored cabinets and architectural lighting. New carpet, decorative lighting, sheer draperies, and a custom leather headboard create a cozy yet sophisticated Master Bedroom retreat.
